Heres a thread for discussing the sengins, especially with the new algorithms. Warbot V and Warbot VII are both hyper agressive, buying LRNUKE*2 on the first round. Their weightings make this understandable (high aggression without high expansion) but some sengin tweaking may be needed if the other sengins are all going this route.

After testing, I realized that LRNUKE*2 was in fact the default behavior. I had increased the general value of strikes after game #493, but apparently it was an over-compensation. Now, Ive reduced that value a bit, so the default move leans toward keeping some money on hand: P:GOV and P:ARMOR. Randomness and different weightings should provide some variety there, but well see. The Sengins, even Commandbot, show very little anticipation. Perhaps more use of bombers when industry is present, anticipating tank move + strike, etc. |

They are slowly evolving. One self-imposed restriction in the AI is that it doesnt have any items "hard coded" but instead surveys available item characteristics and ponders based on those. The reason is so theyll function intelligently with different scenarios and item catalogs.
CommandBot actually anticipates pretty well, its just that hes not weighing the outcomes well. After localization well put another pass into the AI.
